Access Performance
Asking if Access has sufficient performance is like asking if a
particular car is up to the job. It very much depends on what you
intend to do with it. An estate car for one person may be ideal
but no good for the off-road lover.
We get asked Access performance questions all the time. And quite
rightly so too. Yet is it not such an easy question to answer.
Some considerations are:

How many simultaneous users will there be? |

How many records will there be (now and in the next
year/two years)? |

What will the users be doing: reading data only? querying
the database? running many reports? constantly adding new records?
keeping the database open but only using it every X time period? |
| It soon becomes apparant that many factors
must be taken into consideration, so there are no hard and fast rules.
