I couldn't PM you, but best wishes for you, your wife & family... Positive Energy is heading your way from a stranger in Canada. (Oh and I just quoted your post from half a decade ago... reminded me that "best practices" are often timeless!)

    Hi Doc

Thanks for your reply to my post in Sample Databases (Access Error codes). As everything in there has to be moderated I thought it might be easier / quicker to send you a PM - but unfortunately that's not allowed. Hoping you'll read this.

I've read both links that you provided but have no real idea how to proceed.
Are you able to explain with reference to one of the error codes I posted
e.g. -2147467259 (Unspecified automation error related to Outlook)

Dude! I've been off the forums for quite some time. Got sacked from my job in January 2016, officially retired August 2016. I don't even own a Microsoft computer anymore, just an old box that runs Linux. I now have 10 grandchildren. Beat leukemia 5 years ago, still in remission. How have you been?

Thank you for all of the help, comments and remarks over the years.
April 14 is my last day. OK, not so dire as "Last Day", but last day at work on this assignment near 7 yr. I think it was 6 years, 6 months and 6 days - HR just stamped that in big red fonts on my profile forehead.
The energy prices bust took its toll. A lot of my friends of these many years are already laid off.
It has been my luck to operate under my own company's B2B and work with the top industry SME.
It was easy saving for a rainy day because I don't buy on credit.
    What Comes Next?
All of the my hobbies for my plans for this phase of my life have been unanimously banned by International Law or now legally Licensed (boring).
But on a serious note, I haven't a clue what comes next. I might take months off to think about it, or think about nothing for months and then think about it later. All options (including Internationally Banned) will be considered.
Thanks again for all that you contribute.

Well, I will admit to being at least one who nominated you. I nominated you at the same time I did Allan Bunch (RuralGuy) but his happened a lot sooner. I was happy to see that you actually got it. Now I can say I'm running at 100% of nominations (just like Jeff Conrad can).

Congrats on the MVP thing - Did I read correctly that you really don't know how you became one?
