Re: Problem when editing date in a form.

It looks like it's a sharepoint / webapp?

Hence no design view.

Re: Extracting content from an ACCDE Database

I have the same layout and process for moving employees into a training schedule.
It's an older database but I should be able to get into it to extract the basics given some time.

I'm sure...

Re: Extracting content from an ACCDE Database

@Dave - What I meant was what does it do in terms of it's functionality, not the code.

Could you screen shot it and add some words of wisdom describing it's purpose?

What does this listbox do that is so clever?
I'm sure between us we could recreate it some how?

Re: Problem when editing date in a form.

Without seeing the database this will be hard to diagnose from your description.

As it's new if you compact and repair it, then zip it you should be able to upload it here for someone to look at.

Re: VBA to open report based on listbox dropdown and button click

You could populate your listbox with all reports in your database automatically ;

Make the listbox rowsource this;

SELECT MsysObjects.Name
FROM MsysObjects
WHERE...

Re: Tab Control can handle Split Forms from qry?

That is certainly possible, and doesn't sound like a split form, more like different datasheet sub-forms embedded on a main form.

Re: Tab Control can handle Split Forms from qry?

Not sure I get your question clearly, can you mock up a picture?

Split forms are notoriously fussy to work with and difficult to program events on correctly, you may be better with an alternative...

Re: Not finding end of the file in loop

I'm pretty sure this line

myrec1.MoveNext

Should be outside the if myrec1.EOF section. i.e before the Loop command.
As if it is EOF it won't move to the EOF so the loop won't stop.

Re: Form has no active record on opening

I had a weird issue with the OnCurrent event not firing yesterday.

In the end I copied the code, deleted it, saved and closed the form. Compact & Repair then reopened and created a new OnCurrent...

Re: Using SelStart with a ComboBox

I suspect it's the input mask over-riding the normal behaviour.

Why do you need it? Shirley a combo is already presenting the data as you need it?

Re: Convert MsAccess report to PDF and save it in specific customer path

@OP - See post #21 we are all suggesting the same thing.

Create a form with cmd buttons to either preview the whole report, or select a specific record and export it.

Re: Simple query to calculate totals from 2 different tables

Your tables are a little confusing - they seem to have the pretty much the same data in them?

You can't filter them with the current relationship because they are only joined on the aircraft...

Re: Convert MsAccess report to PDF and save it in specific customer path

Actually the active object is the report that is open, and the code is run from it.
I'm not sure you can reference it that way. Certainly your error is nothing to do with that.

Like I said,...

Re: Simple query to calculate totals from 2 different tables

Your active field is really in the wrong table ?
Because of the way they are related it won't filter the way you want.

Re: Convert MsAccess report to PDF and save it in specific customer path

What does Me.Name resolve to?
E.g. Add
Debug.Print Me.Name
to your code before that line.

Re: Convert MsAccess report to PDF and save it in specific customer path

That looks okay, but you need to check the folder exists first something like ;

I realise this is testing but I would make a specific folder not in program files.

Re: Access files via mobile hotspot

Access does not play well over wireless even within a local network. It certainly doesn't play well wirelessly over a WAN.
