Re: Problem!

Even more reason to add these codes to a table with a description then.

I would probably paste them into excel and manipulate the text to create the correct layout, then paste as a new table back...

Re: Reports and the Expression Builder

Can you post up an example of your starting data and what your end goal is, you can use a spreadsheet if you want, or a stripped down version of your database.

Make sure we have enough sample data...

Re: Access Query, count column and merge unique values

The criteria in a grouped query if you are using the query designer can be a bit misleading, especially if you change a working select query to a grouped one.

The way you have seen it work (or not...

Re: Access Query, count column and merge unique values

Remove the criteria(s) from the Sum, and move it to a separate Where clause.

At the moment you are using the criteria on the SUM() value. So in the SQL statement (If you look at the SQL window)...

Re: Combo Box Selection set to text box input

WMS ?
If the data is available in a combo, then it's available in a query, which means you can search it. I'm still confused.

Maybe take a step back and describe in English the purpose of this...

Re: Combo Box Selection set to text box input

If the combo box isn't actually doing anything why do you need it ?

A better way would be to just use a DLookup or a dynamic SQL query to get your value after the update of the first textbox ?

Re: Combo Box Selection set to text box input

Okay - I'm now confused.

Maybe post up a picture of what you are trying to achieve, or do you need a find as you type type combo?

Sample here...

Re: Combo Box Selection set to text box input

You can't set a comboboxes column value, but you can set its bound value.

Me.cmbLocation = Me.txt_Check_String_Input

Re: Public Function Problem

Also don't call the Module you saved it in ConcatRelated, as that will break things.
Call it something like modFunctions or similar.

Re: Form wont change

Delete the form then do the compact and repair, then try adding another form.

Unless you physically can't don't try and call it the same name as the deleted one.
Once that works compact and...

Re: How To Create a POPUP Message in Form Before update

Did you not read what Pat has written?
You now have exactly the problem as described in post #26.

This is a classic case of putting a plaster over the open wound, without providing any stitches.

Re: Dashboard Scaling for 42" TV Screen

Good question - I can't say I have spent much time using a datasheet on a form, I normally just create a continuous form that looks like a datasheet as it is more flexible from a design perspective.

Re: Dashboard Scaling for 42" TV Screen

If your monitor is Full HD and so is the TV, then they are actually the same resolution, and will appear identically.

If the TV is 4K then your access app will appear very small. Either

Re: Using a query as a function?

Make a copy of Q1 , then remove the two manual parameters.
Add Q2 and put the outputs (A & B) in place of the criteria in the new version of Q1.

Be warned this is effectively a cartesian join and...

Couldn't the time 20 minutes ago simply be

TwentyMinutesToComply: Dateadd("n",-20,Now())

Or have I used Monday logic and oversimplified?
