You should understand why I used that abbreviation aje… in response to your abbreviation of my username.

Re: will trump really be impeached?

As a non US citizen, I'd say that the issues in this case have far greater significance than Bill Clinton's abuse of power by sexual misdemeanours

Re: Lookup Fields are evil? Or is this ok? Need a little guidance

Whilst there may or may not be flaws in your table relationships, you appear to be using lookup tables. If so, that's fine.

The problem is with lookup fields in tables. These are shown as combo...

Re: Hello! I'm interested in databases purchase

I'll throw in my opinion.
This forum is not set up for the purpose of selling personal data nor should it ever be that.

Thankfully all the many members at AWF can feel safe that their own...

Re: Access error -query is corrupt

Just done some further testing.
If done using code, the same sql fails with same error - 3340.
That's a bigger issue at least for me

The suggested workround is to create a query based on the...

Re: VBA Help

Whilst you do need to base this on the years rather than dqys, calculating Year(Visit)-Year(DOB) is not sufficient as it depends whether the visit date is before/after their birthday in that year....

Re: Query ifff statement with calculation?

As Gasman said you also need a 'false' argument. For example

IIf([daytext]="vrijdag" Or [daytext] = "Friday",[timediff]-48, 1234)

Replace 1234 with whatever you want when daytext is neither...

Re: Average of count per row

Here's one approach.
Assuming your existing query is called qryGradeCount and your table is Table1, create a new query , add both of those to the query but don't join them

The new query SQL is...

Re: Search as you type in combobox.

As MajP stated, this has never been a standard feature in Access. However, as well as MajP's own excellent example, there have been other similar examples available for many years.
For example, back...

Re: Import/Export Data Tasks

Hi Pat
Only just noticed your post. Whilst I agree with much of what you've written, for end users the new data tasks are much easier to work with. The problems are indeed the lack of transparency...

Re: Scrollbar appears a record early

The form scrollbars property has 4 allowed values: 0 (none); 1 (horizontal only); 2 (vertical only) ; 3 (both). So for example you could use Me.scrollbars=2 when the record count reaches 9.

If...

However just to clarify, in A2007, am I correct that the old system applies where import/export specs are saved to...

Re: View & Edit IMEX Data Task Specifications

Very easily if you have MZ-Tools which is how I added them ;)
Otherwise you can do so manually. Not sure of any VBA code to do so
Line numbering is helpful in bug fixing during development....

What code are you using to do this?
Though it may be irrelevant, are you aware that the property used for counting may be zero based?

You can't use IIF within a function. Perhaps this will do what you want
=IIf([BobTotMins] Between 0.25 And 5.75,NewYear(6),NewYear([BobTotMins]))
