Re: Custom Right Click Menu

Well, you know what? If Titles is a lookup table, then the ContactTitle field in the Contacts table should have been a Foreign Key to the Titles table. If so, you would have been storing the ID field...

Re: Custom Right Click Menu

Hi. I don't quite understand. The db you posted only has one form in it, and it is bound to a table. If I make any selection in the combobox, I will be updating that record. Also, there are no code...

Hi. This forum has a code repository where you might find a demo of what you are trying to do. Try searching for "audit trail." Good luck!

If you go to Design View of the Form and select the button, you can check what it says in the Click Event property. What do you see?

Re: Access error -query is corrupt

That would depend on your Access version. Some you can download, others you have to use the manual update feature. But I think, to your point, they are all available as an auto-update feature, if...

Re: Custom Right Click Menu

To sort a dropdown, you would do it in the Row Source property. For instance:

SELECT ID, Field1, Field2 FROM Table ORDER BY Field2

Re: Need help with bitmasking permissions

Hi. If you need to manage more than 32 controls, you may have to switch to 64-bit Access and use Large Number data type.

Re: Retrieve auto-generated number to linked table

Hi. I think this was already asked before, but I'm not sure if you've answered. Why can't you just import the Excel data directly to Table2 as well? Why do you need to store Table1's ID in Table2?

Re: Incremental Numbering on a Continuous Form

Hi. If you can post a sample copy of your db with test data, we might be able to help you figure it out.

Re: Autopopulate empty fields with values from another field.

Sounds like you'll have to use some code after the import process to modify the table design to add the default value based on the current import information.

Re: Return field name into array where field is true

Hi. And if I may... It doesn't matter what you want to have as a user interface for data entry. You should fix the table structure first, then worry about how to present it to the users. So, maybe...

Re: Custom Right Click Menu

Ah, looks like you may be using the wrong command. I think that one is for inserting a new criteria row in the query grid. If you want to navigate the form to a new record, then try using GotoRecord.

Re: Return field name into array where field is true

The "best" way to accomplish what you want to do is to "fix" your table structure. Using data as field names is not the best way to design a database. Each issue should be a record in your audit...
