Re: Query for years of service

Again, I have not looked at what Mike has produced, BUT

Re: Query for years of service

Haven't looked at your DB, but Excel and Access work in different ways, each has their strengths.

Re: Query for years of service

I think you'd be better off in Excel as your data is Excel orientated.

In access you would have a table along the lines of
AutoNumber
YearID
StatusID

The IDs could just be the...

You did give me an idea though, so I went with...

Re: how to call current event procedure of from from subfrom

Oops, I have done that a few times, but so far always from within the same form.

Eg I set a checkbox on load then call it's click event.

Re: Append query to display result in popup message

I do not think you can do it with DLookup as that just finds the first matching field.
You would need to store the ID of the first one you find and use that as criteria for the next DLookup, and...

Re: vba to open form form command in another and requery new form

Normally with my combos, it is ID and then the text to be displayed, so I'd say Yes, you need to pass the ID, not the text value from the combo.

Re: Form Search box HELP?

I think that should be

if ItemID is numeric. If not

Me.Recordset.FindFirst "[Item]= '" & Me.Search & "'" & Chr(34)
if character

I use the...
