Heisenbugs and schrödinbugs

A link in a thread I was assisting with earlier today led me to a Wikipedia article about Heisenbugs (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heisenbug).

For those who are unaware of the term, a Heisenbug...

Re: Meaningless vs Meaningful Primary Keys

I already know and understand all those terms.

What I'm trying to get you to explain is exactly what you mean by a composite foreign/alternate key.
The reason is that I think you may be...

Re: Bug You tried to open a database that is already open by the user 'Admin' on the

Before you upload a database for us to test, you should remove everything irrelevant to the issue and compact.
You should also remove all the security so we don't have to waste time doing that...

Re: MailMerge.OpenDataSource SQLStatement WHERE clause

Can you explain why you are using that SQL.
You would get the same result by writing ServiceID=1371

Re: Meaningless vs Meaningful Primary Keys

@ButtonMoon
Having resurrected this ancient thread, I think you should explain exactly what you are referring to as 'composite alternate keys'

Re: clase size-resize forms and objects

Thanks for posting your example here.

I've had a very quick look at this though not studied the code used.
Is it the same as the code you posted at UA a couple of weeks ago?

It would be...

Re: This Customization Was Already Loaded

TBH my approach is usually as follows:
a) standard user - no nav pane or ribbon (but print preview ribbon restored whilst reports are loaded then removed when the report is closed)
b) program admin...

Something like this?

Had a quick look at it. Didn't know you spoke Polish!

Yes I agree...but the original code won't show you which fields have matching nulls. Remember you wouldn't have the Differences column in real life
As already written, I thought it useful to see...

Re: Autofill date based on another field

Agree with previous comments. Find out whether it follows the True branch when you think it should.
If not, try explicitly saving before the If line using If Me.Dirty Then Me.Dirty=False
