Re: Search Record In A Subform

Have a look at this page, in fact I would bookmark it, as it is still useful after many years dealing with Access, it shows you how to refer to forms and subforms with the correct syntax, both from...

Re: RecordsetClone: "Item not found in this collection" error

@Ranman - how does that help with building a BCC email string collection ?

You still need to loop through the recordset, and the OP is using a form to filter down the list of contacts by the...

Re: optimizing DB w/ access front end & MySQL backend

The ODBC drivers involved generally do a very good job of all of this.
So any already saved query will be "translated" into optimised T-SQL without you needing to do a lot.

Re: optimizing DB w/ access front end & MySQL backend

What Pat is saying is that SQL Server will return the entire unfiltered dataset to allow Access (via VBA) to perform the function locally.

Think of it like you holding a coin you need to compare...

Re: Form Combo Box Drop Down Sorting

By using the Union with the "*" Access will convert the resultant results to Text as * can't be a number, hence the sorting issue.

Re: Lost Specific Printer Settings

Thanks Gina, I'm investigating that at the moment.

I have always struggled with label printers and changing paper sizes without warning and then being a royal PITA to reset when you don't have...

Re: Form Combo Box Drop Down Sorting

What's the combo rowsource, there must be something changing it to make it think it's a text field.

Re: Form Combo Box Drop Down Sorting

If they are really numbers then they should be stored as numbers. So change the datatype in the table.

Re: Lost Specific Printer Settings

Thanks for the feedback.
I pretty sure that isn't the culprit, as this is a saved report option to print to a specific printer regardless of the default printer setting.

I know it normally...

About 10 days ago, one of my internally distributed databases lost the printer settings for every report saved...

Re: Graph Resource Utilisation Along Timeline
