Re: List of last used tables

I was informed last night, by a very good friend of mine, that I misspoke. So there is a new edit in this post concerning ISO Certification.

This system is mission critical for an entire chemical...

Re: List of last used tables

How did you derive the 99.9%?

Building database is so much less about technologies, and so much more about business models, and psychology. After that, data structure is more important than...

I came up with a fairly simple solution.

I made a table in a new database from an outer join from the sysObject table in both the back ends. It included the modified dates from both.
then I put...

Re: List of last used tables

Thanks everyone for replying.
So far I have gone through 150 or so table by opening them. Not as bad as I had originally thought it would be. Plus it is giving me a chance to glance at the data to...

Re: List of last used tables

We have one similar to this. But it does not track changes to admin tables. There are over a hundred of these.

Thanks for the tip. it looks like I will go through every one of them and...

Re: List of last used tables

In this project we developed in Access, and then will migrate to SQL Server towards the end of the project. We still use Access Front Ends as well as other technologies.

There are a lot of...

Re: List of last used tables

Thanks guys, I don't actually want to open any tables. There are over three hundred tables.

We have developed a new section of the database with 75 new tables but we started with a copy of the...

List of last used tables

I've searched around and found no answers, sorry for such a basic question.

Re: strSQL in DLookup

I think people get used to doing things a certain way.

Until a few months ago, after writing databases in Access since 1996, I had never cared about multi-criteria DLookups. I just used a...

Re: strSQL in DLookup

I'm not saying it needs replacing. And 90% of my forms are bound. But when it comes to extremely difficult business rules. Built in Access will not work in all of those cases.

The real world has...

Re: strSQL in DLookup

When you use a DAO RecordSet you can wait until the record set is inserted into a table to make decision about other programmatic events. It's 100% positive. No dirty forms, or maybe a delete or...

I usually just run it through the debug to get it back to queryDef...
