It is very straight forward. you pass the category and date received to the function.
The function chk whether cat 1 or cat 2, etc. Then set i (number of days to add).

you can't use Tag on this situation because there are Conditions to be met and the conditions are not Static.

you should open "the Other form" first.
add code to it's Timer Event to Open the "Alert form".
Make the timer as short as possible, ie: 30 msec.
