2. Why are you putting the report name in?

3.Is "Price" the name of the control in the report?

Post a copy of your database with just the report and applicable...

Glad to help, something I forgot to mention, when you open my subform you will note that some of the controls have a yellow background - these are the ones I have set to visible = no. Also...

Have look at your db now. I have created 2 new forms frmCustomer & sfrmAccounts. Open FrmCustomer and you will see what I have done.

Open the subform (sfrmDefects) in design view and you will see it (TxtTotalEqupment) to the right of "Notes".

First base your form on a query (use query as record source)
In a new column in the query enter this:
FullName:FName &" "& LastName This will return John Smith

I have changed "Name" to FName...

To my knowledge you can't set a default value for an unbound text box in its control source it has to be done with code.

Right click on the Properties of the Report Header and put your code behind
"On Format"

Open you database then go to Tools/Start Up, then in "Display Form/Page" find and select the form you wish to open first.

I don't know if this will work on a tab form, however when you have a command button on the main form and you want to go to a new record in the subform , you must first set the focus to the subform....

For what it is worth I agree with Mr B, you should have a "back door" into the data.

However in the end it is your database and this is only 1 ( or 2) persons...

Why do you have to double click to add an item to the list?


Have a look at the attached sample, just type the new data into the combo and it will ask you if you want to add it to the list,...
