Hey Guys,

Recently I had a bet with my friend and colleague at the same time :)
He is a programmer and he was telling that application doesn’t necessary require the good design. It can go without.
What would you think?

Honey, you can program whatever to your heart's content and without any care in world.

It's maintaining the program that is the hell on wheels, and it will be seven times hotter for each missing good design principle.

Hey Guys!
Wow, Thanks
Such kind of discussion is a normal thing between programming and designing departments in our studio (artua.com). I liked your posts and certainly I'll drop them to him

Wow, you found that useful? You guys must do quite a bit of bantering.

In addition to Banana's always incredible advice, I'd like to add that it's much easier to initially program a system that has been properly designed, too. I'm just way too lazy to build a system without first designing it correctly.

Then comes the maintenance.

I think I've used some of his applications before, did he help build Windows Vista?

Programming without prior design is like going for a long walk in a dence forest without a map and compass.

You are off to the dark side, never to return again.
