Hi, it's the "newbie" here, not very technical, but am working with a "shared" database that only has two users. I have set the Access options to "Edited Record" lock status. That seems to work to prevent the users from editing the same record at the same time. However, I thought a user would receive some sort of error message if they tried to edit the locked record.
I can see the little lock icon in the record selector border, but the user does not get a popup message. This would be helpful as the users are not sure of what is going on when this occurs.
Do I need to do something to enable the message?
Thanks for sticking with a non-programmer.
