Hi All,

I have a form which is based on a query which selects information from three different tables. All fields apart from one are locked, all are enabled. The table the field I wish to update is native to the current DB i.e. is not a linked table.

when I activate the form and try to click on the Check box, which is not locked, I get a beep but it does not change state.

I am using Access 2007 on win7 Pro.

I know this is not much to go on.

I look forward to your comments.

Regards

ANP.

Hi Spikepl,

I have checked the points in your post and I can not see any thing that applies to my query.

However I do have two fields that concatenate data as below

Name: [tblClients]![clt_TitleID] & " " & [tblClients]![clt_FirstName] & " " & [tblClients]![clt_Surname]

could this be the issue?

No.

If you run your query in the query designer are you able to update data in it?

I am unable to update the field in the datasheet view of the query.

I am able to update it in the datasheet view of the table it belongs to.

I am unable to update the field in the datasheet view of the query.

so your query is not updateable!
