Our volunteer staff do not create proper CVS files for a report which we produce every morning.

Can I/We please be assisted in creating a programmatically created CVS file, for the report = Stock_PortfoliobyAsset_Sergey_SymbolsR

Your assistance is appreciated.

Not aware of any way to export a report to CSV (Comma Separated Values) file. Export a table or query.

Thank you for trying to help, but we are receiving a =Compile Error.

Could you create a Query to create the CVS file?

For your information we use the CVS file to connect with Yahoo so that we can receive Equity Transactions.

Thanks,
Paul

Arnel's file includes a VBA reference for Excel 16.0 (2016)

If you have an earlier version of Office, this reference will be flagged as MISSING.
Untick the reference to remove it.
Normally I would then tell you to replace with the Excel reference for your version of Office, but there is no need as it isn't actually required here.

As june has already said, these are actually CSV files

AFAIK the Yahoo prices stopped a good while back, as I used to use them for the few shares I have.?

Would you be able to explain/post a link to how you get the prices please.?

* * * * P E R F E C T = Thank you for your assistance.

Can you please suggest a code that would let the volunteers click a button on the main form and the Exported CVS file would be created with the date?

I/We appreciate what you have done.

AFAIK
Regarding your request.
I do not know how the CVS file receives the Yahoo Stock information because the company we use to obtain this information from does it for the organization that I volunteer at for no fee (donation) and I would never ask them for THEIR proprietary information.

Sorry that I can not help you.

Hello.
We are a Volunteer group who work at a Charity.

Our hours are flexible and sometimes I run the office and sometimes others run the office and this is why there are posts from different volenteers.

Sorry, if there is any confusion.

Thank you for your suggested code copy of the click event.

I think that something is missing from our database.

Could you please advise me what I should place into the Data Base that you fixed for us.

Thank you,

I downloaded arnel's last posted file. There is no code associated with the export button. How is the export performed?

See post 5 about the error. In the VBA editor menu > Tools > References, uncheck the reference that is MISSING.

Thank you all for your assistance.
I think we are getting close to a working database to create our CVS files.

I am receiving the error message = Can not update. Database or object is Read Only.

Could I please receive a suggestion on how to fix this problem?

Thank you.
Nicole

what you are seeing is an image (its not supposed to be there).
edit the form, select the object and delete it.
