I am Phil from the UK. I am a retired Quality Assurance Manager. I trained as an industrial chemist and them moved into IT designing database systems. I have used SQL, Paradox and Access and started to learn Visual Studio before my employer deemed me redundant.
I have designed many Access systems covering a huge range of uses. From Street Lighting systems to enable members of the public to report faults to Registration systems to allow my local cricket club to record the attendances of all the children present at training sessions.
I now spend most of my fun time writing and delivering Quizzes to my local community. It's those quizzes that have brought me here.
In my free time I play cribbage in a local league and also, during the summer months play petanque. I live in a village called Quorn which has been my family home since 1914.
