Hello, I'm an old timer, an engineer, real electronics (solder and real components) In our little company we have used MS Access for 20 years or so for orders, stock production etc. Obviously also use it for some home tasks. Still very limited knowledge so I hope to to find some answers and perhaps pass on some experience.

Hi David welcome to Access World Forums (AWF). Whatever experience you can pass on will be most valuable.

Welcome Aboard David!

My initial training / first job was as an electronics engineer, and I still know how to use a soldering iron :)

Welcome, David. I still have my soldering iron somewhere - AND some solder and a small stand with clamps and a magnifying glass. But I haven't had to use any of that for anything lately. I'm pretty sure that most computers these days require different equipment than what I've got. But when in college, I actually DID build an operational amplifier circuit once.
