Hi everyone,
I have just bought a laptop off eBay which I intend on upgrading so I went to my local computer shop to buy some new memory. Now my plan was to instal a 1GB & a 2GB unit but the guy in the shop said I'd be better installing 2 x 1GB units which are identical, this would act or activate a duel channel for the memory which will perform much faster, despite there only being 2GB memory installed instead of 3GB.
I'm working with such small numbers due to the age of the laptop and OS limitations.
Has anyone else heard of this?
Thanks
UN
