I have two identical laptops and both failed using Access just today. I suspect the major upgrade from Microsoft, in the operating system...

I can open the database file, but not edit or change. Then the computer close the software and ... well, that's it!

I use Access for web development, as the database in various web pages // web sites.

I know, the tools are old, but it would be pleasant to use.
I was looking at Open Office as an User Internface to MS Access 2000. It's sort of failing... Not really a pleasant experience.

Any suggestions or ideas!?

A restore should take you back to before the upgrade. At least as a test on one of the computers. You should be able to "undo" the restore if you want.

Yes....
And I also have a third computer with ... an older version of Windows... 7 or Vista or something.
Maybe I can use that computer!? (Using LAN and simply just skip Internet.)

The deal with the restore is, this last upgrade is quite crucial and in general a good thing, so to speak.

If you run Windows, any version, you shall also upgrade!

I'm thinking of migrating to SQL Server... I'm in research mode!!

Thank you for input!!
