CODE or MACRO for Update/refresh Table (1 Viewer)

hi guys,
i was created a link table,

and i do this step

1. click link table manager, linked table manager showed
2. i check my link table
3. i check "always prompt for new location"
4. will show select new location window,
5. i choose my new location
6. open
7. and table will refreshed from new location

this is way to refresh link table manualy

my question:
how to change this step with automatically, with codes or macros

example:
1. my link file location default in D:/.... ex. D:/employees16.xlsx and D:/employees17.xlsx
2. my first linked table is employees16
3. i have a form have textbox and cmdbutton
4. when i fill the text box with employees17
5. and i click cmdbutton

iwant the linked table updated/refreshed automatically to employess17

how the way for it?

I'm slightly concerned that you have appear to have two employees tables, possibly one for 2016 and one for 2017?

This sounds like very poor database design. and maybe if this was fixed you wouldn't need to try and create a second linked table.
