Need text box in form for changing Linked files path (1 Viewer)

Hi All,

I am new to access and to this forum.

I am having a database with tables linked to excel and text files from two different folders. I need a text box in a form were I can give the path to the linked files so that it gets picked up. The reason is if the database in used by different person, he may be able to change the links easily.

Is this possible.

I was able to modify it so that it could determine if it didn't find the file - meaning it is used by a different person, it could then either use the previous location that user connected to or prompt user for new location. They also have code to put local tables on back end.
