I mess up now and then. I need a proper smiley to show that.

One of the users has used one to express that exact sentiment. Could we get it in the smiley list?

@RainLover

I agree that animated-anytning is distracting. But I still miss a static smiley reflecting this particular sentiment.

Yes I know. It is so cute everyone should have one.

So I decided to rethink my position and after due consideration I believe we should disallow ALL of these moving objects.

It is a shame that an exception cannot be made for this one but where would you draw the line.

So NO NO NO NO Please.

My preference would also be for no moving icons but I will live what is decided.

Cute as that icon is - I vote for no moving anything. Especially ads.

I have no control over whether ads move or not since I am not the one who chooses what to display or when. They are controlled by a third party.

I quite like animated smileys. :)

Are there any particular smilies you would like added? Please list.

#11 Thanks for replying. On reflection I agree with all the other posters that animations are a total PITA!

I still miss some smiley suitable for "Gosh, why didn't I think of the obvious" - a more expressive one than this: , but have no candidate present.

Some other forums I've been on from time to time have between them a wide range of smilies to choose from. You see some on one forum but not on another, which is a pity as some of them are probably more suitable for the forums they're NOT part of. One I'm a member of has emoticons showing a head repeatedly banging itself against a wall, or one figure repeatedly hitting another with a hammer. Another forum I've recently visited has a groaning smilie with a palm against the forehead - I think this one probably best suits your requests.

btw, I quite like the animated smilies - they do a somewhat better job of describing my emotions that some of the static ones don't quite portray.

I believe RL may have been referring to my use of one of these. (and they are just jpg/png files I store on my website and use the URL to post using the IMG tag here):

But one I am using on the other forums (gun sites) that I am currently posting on, is this one:

I love that too. :) I would add it if I knew it didn't have any copyright attached to it.

Absolutely Perfect. I live in the States and know absolutely no one who carries a gun. I think you have a great imagination about the lives of 300 million people living here. Although we live in the West, it is not as wild you may think.
