Allow users a way to Request a Demo for a certain application to be put in the Sample Databases.

I agree in principal.

If we had a section where we could load and test something would be very handy at times. It may even help to teach people to test before posting.

I would think that there should be a time limit. The thread should be automatically be deleted (Nothing for the Mods to do) after say 24 hours.

A good example is where I have some 2003 code that I want tested in 2007. I am sure you can think of many other examples.

burrina, is this what you are suggesting.

What's the difference between a demo and just asking for some help on something?

Isn't that part of what the Sample Databases, Tutorials or Code Repository are meant to be?

This is what I'm thinking. We have a place for such things.

I don't know what Vassago is referring to. Can you point me in the right direction.

As far as I know there is no place here where the thread is automatically removed once the OP has finished.

UA has such a thing. I used to use it from time to time and found it helpful.

I think the nature of the question is unclear.

My guest is Burrina was thinking of something along the lines of "feature request" for a software application. A place where people could vote on something they needed, raising a particular "Demo" to the top of the list. If that's what he meant then I can see that it is a good idea, however it does have several problems.

Many people have little idea of how to describe what they want.

There are always two or three different ways of doing something.

Who is going to create the demo?
