Does anybody else still gravitate to the right side of a form, report, table etcs. to close it out forgetting they moved the X to the tab?:(

What version of Access did that happen in?

I don't use Tabbed Documents, always set for Overlapping Windows.

Dick,
are you saying you close the database when you mean to close a report? Sometimes I accidentally do that.

I meant version of Access (2013, 2016, 2019), not your database.

I use Access 2010 and X close is still at right corner of Tabbed Document, not on the tab.

Weird, when I opened my latest db made this week on the top identification bar after the db name it says 2007 – 2016 format. (see attachment) I have Office 365. When I open my joke file it doesn’t list the year format, however after opening it a few times I noticed it flashed 2000 then disappears.

That's why I always implemented forms to have a Close command button including my switchboard form. So that meant I could turn off the [X] for the Access window too, and rely on the Quit button on the switchboard.

So your joke db must be an mdb. The newer file would be an accdb and looks like you are running at least Access 2013.
