The existing one was fine. I didn't find it intrusive, and clicking on "Got it" or whatever it said, I haven't seen it since, so the site seems to remember that I've seen and clicked on it.

My views and experience is identical to Paul's, it seemed to take its time appearing and then one click and it's gone for good.

Just reply in this thread, although to be honest I quite like the thin bar at the bottom.

The bar at the bottom or top is the norm on sites I have visited, and if it is the norm then it seems sensible to go that way.

Something about going to the Bar seemed normal.
The bar at the bottom is good for me.

Wonder if my Popup Blocker makes me non-compliant?

Hey guys, I've changed the cookie popup. Do you prefer this one? Its along the bottom now and with changed wording.

Seems less obtrusive. I like it, but I did not find issues with the other version.

I think I finally realised what you mean. I take it you mean the small yellow box at the bottom?

If so, it was so unobtrusive, I have just been ignoring it, but I will click it next time!

It had a problem with my Windows 8 workstation for IE (no problem for Chrome) at home. Of course, that HP Envy that came with Windows 8 seems to always have problems.
At home, the Windows 7 Enterprise had no problems.
At work, the Windows 7 Enterprise had no problems.

Agreed, it was so small and out of the way, almost didn't notice it.
It is very friendly. So it should convey the intention.
I say go with it.

On a Wordpress based site I maintain, I implemented a Cookie notice via a plugin. This one pops up on the site, and then vanishes after about 5 seconds. Less intrusive.
