Hello,

Some time ago I had created access database in my work for entire department- base is being used by aprox. 150 people and its being stored at share drive, although front-end part of base uses following location eg. "M:\share drive adress" etc. The problem is that different users may have differently mapped the exactly same disk- some may use letter "M" others "K". I would like to force somehow access to store that base under location of share drive eg. "\\share drive adress" etc. not under specific letter. I tried to search different websites to find answer on my question, although I could not find anything usefull, so apologies in advance for doubled thread.

Rgds,
Sh00t

Hi,

Each user should have their own copy of the front end on their local machine. When you link the FE to the BE, use the UNC path to the network share instead of a drive letter.

Hope it helps...
