I have a form with many fields on it. For some reason some of the text in the form fields don't line up vertically with other text even though I have aligned them to the grid and to each other. I have Access 2013 to let you know. This is purely for aesthetics but I would to correct this if possible.

Thanks for any suggestions,
Bill

Under the format tab, make sure all of the text is left aligned.
Aligning the text box does not align the data within it.

Dave,

I have them left aligned but some appear to be a character off.

Check for spaces in the data.
And for some reason I have seen in WORD that text will not completely align to the left.
Also select all of your text boxes, click left align in format off then click it back on again.

I have selected all of the text boxes and left aligned them. This is a very strange issue. There are no spaces either.

When you look at the same data in the table, is it also mis-aligned?

No the data in the table is fine. The only issue is with the form. The reports have these fields and they are aligned properly.

Have you set all the (left) margins to the same for all the text controls?

Are the controls of the same data type? Numeric fields leave space at the right to hold a minus sign or right paren for negative values. Please post a screen shot so we can see the problem.

Okay I attached a pic of the form. I hope you can see the fields and how they are not aligned.

Thanks,
Bill

I'm going to guess that some of the fields are defined as numeric and some are defined as text. Try adjusting the left margin property to get the numeric fields to move slightly to the right so they will align with the left justified text fields.

If you align the text box you do not need to align the text in it.

If it has something to do with the control, then the quickest way to solved that is to take a copy of a "good looking" control and replace all the "bad looking" ones with it.
If it is to find out the cause, create a new form and copier a "good" and a "bad looking" control into the form.
Create a new database and import this form into it, and then post the database here.
