I've worked with Access for about 10-12 years, almost completely in the personal/non-professional arena. I call myself an Access enthusiast, not a programmer.

I'm using Access 2010 on my main computer and Access 365 on my Surface 3.

I use it primarily for organizing various collections and lists, such as my music catalog, my wine collection, to-do lists, etc.

I hope to solicit advice from other members in upgrading my use of Access with advanced features for queries and reports.

I look forward to chatting with you.

Sometimes screen names are fanciful. Sometimes they have a hidden message. So ... are you a professor, profburns?

And welcome, by the way. My first use of Access was to organize my old comic book collection that I no longer wanted and had not preserved using proper plastic containers. So using it for your in-home collections is no surprise.
