I'm trying to get a grasp of the concept as explained by Scott Gem here.

I think I've done it properly, but it's not working. If anyone could take a minute and have a look at the attached test db, and point me to what I'm missing, I would be grateful.

The After Update Data Macro is on the "Color" field in tblColors.

You may get some insight from this thread on Best Use of Macros

There are errors in your database.
Check your USysApplicationLog table.

Thank you for pointing this thread out to me. What did it for me, was your link to the Microsoft Help article. Finding the application log pointed me to my extremely simple error. Lots of good info in that thread. Bookmarked for later more in depth reading.

There is a database late in that thread. It is my only use of data and named macros.
There is very limited info on these based on my searching/googling.

UPDATE: I looked at your macro and made a couple of changes, then added and changed some records in your tblColors.




Output in audittrail
