I believe Jon is tampering with a new format/layout for the forum to give it its own identity. I do think, however, that if he wasn't going to work on it over the last few days, he should have restored it as the blank space is very annoying.

I'm working on it! As you can see, the header section is nearly done. Comments?

It's fine in IE. I don't have FireFox, Netscape, Opera, etc. to hand to check it though.

Do you plan on ironing out the color scheme?

What do you mean by ironing it out? Do you mean getting the forum colour scheme to match the header better?

Will there be any screen space left to actually display the forum messages? My resolution is set to 800x600 and the area left to display and read the forum postings appears very cramped. I now have to use the horizontal scroll bar to read the postings and that is a lot of wasted user movement.

Change is normally good but I have to question the user benefit in regards to the current redesign of this forum.

Looks the same in IE 6 and FF 1.5 (see attached).

IMHO it would look better if you could lose the VBulletin banner on the top. I don't think which particular bulletin software you are using is of interest to anyone (except the script kiddies. Please people, *REAL* hackers do not vandalise websites).

It's all in transition so bear with me. I'm trying to get to grips with how to do the coding, what looks good etc.

I run at 1152 x 864. Thats the highest I can go at an acceptable refresh rate (75 Hz). 1200 x 1024 at 60 Hz makes my eyes bleed...

I had a look with FireFox at home last night and the Contact tab drops to the next line in 1024x768.
