but you need to get certain information from the invoice subform, so as you are deleting in the invoice subform, it made sense to run the insertlog code there - it would be rather more complex to write the sql insert code, in the delete form.
you also need the reason (text0 on your deleteform) and since you are closing the form you have to store the text somewhere.
