Reversed order of controls on form (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

Just built a form from a table, using the Create option.

In working on it, I had a selection of controls selected.
Somehow, I managed to reverse the order of the controls.:banghead:

I'm not talking about the tab order, but the display order. Fortunately it was only one half of the form and I was able to re position as they are all the same width at present, but phew!

How on earth did I mange this?, if I knew how I accidentally did this, I expect I could reverse the error.?

dunno. Normally when you use the mouse and drop the control on the form,
it stays there.
In the order you position it. Nothing should re-arrange it.

Hi Ranman256,

No, I used the wizard to create the form with all the controls, just Create/Form when on the required table.
Then deleted the controls I did not want. The wizard put them into two nice blocks, with same width.
Somehow, the first block of about 9 controls complete reversed the order as they are in the table and were first presented on the form.

If you used the wizard, it will automatically add layout guides.
These can cause havoc if you then delete several controls as the layout guides will try & maintain the form 'design structure'
You could delete the layout guides to regain your control over how the form looks

I rarely use wizards as I find the layout guides more nuisance than benefit

That is the first time it has happened to me, so I'll just have to be careful.
I had deleted a few controls, but the form had been saved and opened several times after and only then I noticed 'Hang on, what's gone on here?'
