Scoured the web, tried everything. The HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\Security\DisableHyperlinkWarning set to 1 does not work nor do the other remedies. Strange that the annoying message appears
1) with files stored in trusted locations (local folders)
2) only with Acrobat files (.pdf) (I have seen two messages where people were also complaining specifically about this file format being resistant to the warning squelch).
3) Only Office 2013. The files are linked to without any messages in O2010 & O2007.
Since the message : "Some files can contain viruses or otherwise be harmful..." originates in Windows, it cannot be handled by the VBA error handler. Does anyone have any idea how to get rid of it? Much obliged.
