Hi Guys,

do you know any good free or microsoft software to draw Entity relationships diagram ?

The goal is to show all sets and subsets of data in graphical way.

Any suggestions?
Best,
Jacek

You can install SQL Server Express and use SSMS - but you'll need to upsize the tables first using SSMA.

All tools are free.

It is highly doubtful that you will find anything useful that is specifically for Jet/ACE. There isn't enough of a market for Jet/ACE tools.

thank you Pat,

Yeah Access engine is not so popular i thing.
Thank you for idea with MS SQL Server.

Hmm but what if i want to create entity relationships diagram inputing manually tables.
I mean create from scratch whole diagram, only based on Access? Maybe Vision could be ok for that?

Best,
Jacek

SSMS allows you to create tables. I suggested importing because I thought you already had them defined. The nice thing is that you can later import the schema into Access so you don't have to retype it. I find the Access GUI much more user friendly than SSMS so even when my target database is SQL Server, I start by building the tables using the Access GUI and then upsize them when the schema is stable.

Each database supports as many diagrams as you want so if you have a large schema, you can create logical sets of tables.
