Uncle G, I believe we have a cross-cultural idiom conflict here.

I am going to assume you were asking about the celebrations.

From the reports, the kids were just having fun at the games. But to come home to a hero's welcome was somewhat overwhelming. Some of them were near tears due to the crowds waiting for them at the airport. Better still, it isn't over.

This Mardi Gras they have a standing invitation to ride in a Jefferson Parish parade on a special float celebrating their victory. In New Orleans, if you get to ride a special float in your honor, that is the pinnacle of social success. Bragging rights for centuries. Stories to tell your kids and grandkids. Treasured scrapbooks and photo albums. Things like that. I have to say that this area is incredibly proud of these kids and offers words of thanks and support at every opportunity.

They are at the age where they might expect one last growth spurt, so they are already in line for getting a bigger hat size anyway, but after this, they will NEED a bigger hat size.
