Can't seem to get a grip on the left pane.
I want to resize it so i can actually view its contents but the cursor doesn't change and i can't seem to get a grip on the left pane.

How is this possible and how can i restore this functionality?

Thanks!

btw: Using Access 2016

Hi Colin,

Yes the navigation pane. It is a pain.
It still is.

I tried the three options you suggested.
The problem is not showing the navigation pane but resizing it.

But thanks for the suggestion!

In a new database the nav pane shows a rather thick line indicating it is resizable

Ah...the old 'pain' jokes are the best!
At least one of the methods should still work.
Otherwise just click and hold the thick vertical dividing line and drag to the right.
If I can do that on a touch screen tablet, it should be easy with a mouse!

EDIT Posts crossed.
I contributed to that thread as well. I very much doubt its corruption.
The nav pane saves the last size used. If you toggle it then maximise it, the problem should be fixed.
Or try hiding then showing the search bar which was method 3

Hi Colin,

There is no thick vertical line for me to click and hold on to.
I have tried the three possible solutions you suggested. They all failed.

The Nav Pane settings were set to hide the nav pane.
They are now set to show the nav pane and still it doesn't matter.

I'm leaning to the solution to copy all objects...

Thanks for your help.

Suggest you upload a copy of your database. It may be it will return to 'normal' on another computer....

Hi Guus. Do you have this problem with all your databases or just one?
