Hello.

I'm pretty new MS Access, but I need this quickly.
I have a table with 3 columns: bands, main genres and music styles.
Main Genres and Music Styles are both Lookup and Relationship fields.
Main Genres is connected to a Main Genres table with about 10 records, and Music Styles is connected to a 2000 records Music Styles table, where for each Music Style there are one or two main genres connected to Main Genres table.
What I would need is that if I choose in the Bands table the main genres (multiple option), in the Music Style column on the same row I should only be able to choose from the Music Styles related with the Main Genres I chose.

I would apreciate any help. Ask me if something is unclear.

Thank you.

No lookups in tables - that will cause you eternal PITA! What you want to do must be done in a form. Search for

cascading combos

but beware - that works only in a single form. For continous forms you cannot use cascading combos directly but have to fiddle (because a combo has one and the same row source in all records). Google

Pat Hartman cascading combos continuous form
