I have a subform with many fields, most of which are not Enabled (and not Locked either). In Design view, these Disabled Unlocked fields are shown as greyed out.
Most of these fields cannot be accessed by the user, as intended. However, one field in particular (ItemStatus) is accessible to the user even though it is not Enabled - and the user can change the field's value. This is the only field which has conditional formatting set (to change background colour depending on the status). Is there some interaction between the Enabled property and conditional formatting, whereby the latter overrides the former ?
If I Lock the field, then it is still accessible to the user (whether by clicking in it or tabbing to it), though he/she cannot change its value, but that is then inconsistent with the behaviour of the rest of the Disabled fields.
