Trying to open an Adobe file (I have Pro) using VBA, but the file has a password (which I know). Not sure if there's a way to open using an AcroExch.AVDoc object if there's a password? I want to open it as an object b/c I want to get information like individual words, pages, etc.

Thanks.

So if I understand correctly, this opens the PDF in Acrobat but not as an object in VBA. Am I missing something? I want to open it as an object from Access and manipulate the PDF. I have the code to manipulate it (e.g., get the # of pages, etc.) that works well for a non-password protected file.

I've never used that code.
I suggested it so you could hopefully extract the code needed to open a password protected PDF and use it with your existing code

I appreciate that. I think it just doesn't do the core of what I need so I can't even customize it as far as I can tell.

Sorry about that. I couldn't find anything else of use. Perhaps Adobe can assist.
