Is anyone else getting a warning that you need to wait 30 seconds between posts, but you have only pressed submit once, and it thinks you are trying to submit the same post again?

Started happening about 11:00am UK time ?

Edit - didn't happen on this post but has repeatedly on replies to existing threads.

It happens from time to time.

I think it is something to do with delays in the traffic coming back from the server. The packets for your post get sent from your computer and a received by the server but, for whatever reason, the acknowledgement for them don't make it back in time so your computer sends them again.

Aha - see the above - evidence! :)

Now I know I'm not going mad, it must be everyone else.

Honestly, no.

I hit the submit and it took an unusually long time for the page to be reloaded with my post. I only hit submit once. Then I immediately made two small edits to correct spelling mistakes. This all went at the normal speed.

You can see the edits in the second post.

I hadn't noticed the duplication.

I suspect it is also a method to prevent spammers creating automated posts.
