It was a great Christmas Party at this user's group.
Live music, movies, loads of food and drink.
Despite the sub zero weather close to 25 members.
Oh! and just fantastic prizes!
Books, software, ...
I scored some nice earbuds and a great bottle of red wine.

Last Meeting (March 2014) was great. Linked MS Access 2013 client and Web version to an AZURE (SQL Server in the Cloud).
It was very much like linking to a normal SQL Server DB using SQL Server Native Client. Once the data is on the AZURE, other tools such as Share Point can be run against it. It provided me with an idea of keeping Access Client for the real data entry and admin, then using MS Access 2013 Web for users who just need to view data and make minor data entries (e.g. update quantities for example). Somehow, I won the prize again (a new Programming in MS Access 2013 book). Instad of accepting it, I allowed it to be re-used so someone else could win it.

Last meeting (Feb) was a little lite. The weather was around 18 F degrees below zero and the icy roads made travel rough. However, more members showed up at the Access group than the Global Warming presentation just down the road.

Rx,

In the first post here (08/09/13) there is mention of modules and class modules, and a note that "code will be posted". I've been to the site and see no mention of class module materials. Can you tell us the status of the User Group with respect to summary of meetings; sample code; presentations etc? I'm very interested in any materials related to Access/vba class modules.

Thanks in advance,
jdraw

Thank you for calling me on that claim! :D
I just got back from lunch with one of the officers of the DAAUG.
Yes, its a sad life when even the lunch time includes discussion about Access.

I specifically asked about the power point presentation and code samples we were told would be made available via the DAAUG. The answer was that DAAUG is still waiting.

The same group and majority of the speakers will be presenting at Redmond soon. It wouldn't surprise me that they will include the updates, errors, omissions and recommendations pointed out during our seminar.
They were very good at asking about each presentation.

I appreciate the question. Knowing that there are people interested (as opposed to absolutely nobody interested) in the material will keep me on them for delivery.

Thanks for getting back. I'm interested in any materials/examples/links etc related to Class Modules. This is also in support of spikepl's request to have a thread specific to Classes and OOP (at least as much as is practical).
