Oddly, if you create an MVF using the wizard when you first make the field, no such warning occurs.
As you said, Once an MVF field has been created, it cannot be reversed whether or not the field records have been populated
Hi Colin. You got me again. How do you use the Wizard to create a MVF? Like you, I don't use it either, so I am not familiar with another way of creating it other than manually. Thanks for the education.

Update: Creating a new MVF field using the Wizard = no warning. However, changing an existing field to MVF using the Wizard = yes warning.
