Hello to all: I am a retired electrical engineer in the U.S. but it's been so long since I got my degree (we used vacuum tubes when I was in college) that I don't claim to be good at it any more. I have gone back to work as a paper pusher just because of boredom. I play at home with Access, Excel, and other software just as a hobby, but it comes in handy when I use it to support the work tasks. Most of my experience with these programs is trial and error, but I learn a lot from forums like this one.

Hey, SamW. Many of us learned through trial and error. Some of us - like me - were obviously masochistic based on the error/learning ratio.

Welcome SamW. I agree fully with Doc --been retired 10+ yrs-- not sure about the learning but I also have experienced many errors.
