Is there anyway to subscript the page numbering in a Microsoft Word document. We have a Microsoft Word document with 172 pages and we would like to insert a page without changing the page numbering. For instance, if we add a page after page 155, we would like the new page to have a page number of 155-1 and the following pages to have the same page numbers. Thanks ! ! !

Easiest way around this is section breaks.

Insert a section break before and after the new material and (important!) unlink the new section and the following section (see very recent thread about headers and footers for detail).

Then, in the new section, type the "super" page number in the footer as a number - '155-' and insert the page number field after it (to start from one). You may need to tell the following section to restart the numbering at 156 (via header/footer menu).
