New to access and learning lots. Set up a database with multiple tables. Can data be imported into a table that has a relationships to other tables? Scratching my head..Thanks

Re: Importing excel into database with multiple tables

Yes - it is normal for databases to have multiple tables with relationships.

As a general rule it is often easier to link to your Excel file from Access.
You can then create an append query to add new records to your table
Or use an update query to update existing records

Thanks. I will look into that. A bit unclear on the updating and/or appending that way. Access seems powerful enough but somewhat clunky. My knowledge with it has me a bit handicapped.
