Extra blank line being added in my posts

Hi all,

Amended after preview
I've noticed recently that when I enter text along the lines of

This is line one with a blank line after this line

And then this is the second line with a blank line between it and the first that I get an added blank line inserted?

Not amended after preview

I have not changed any editor options. Does anyone else get the same happening?

TIA

I have the same happening sometimes. It is reproducible when pasting text from MS-Word (which I sometimes use for improved spell checking).

I guess this discussion would be more on topic in the Site Suggestions forum.

I must have been moving it while you were posting.

No, I just key into the reply field and like to space my text with a blank line, but end up with two.

Having lost several posts when I click on a link without thinking, I now write anything lengthy in Notepad first.
That also leads to an extra line being added when I paste text

However, I've not experienced the issue when typing directly into the forum message window

However, at least one other user is having the same issue
