This is good to know. There was no visible sign that indicated this ODBC setting that drastically affected the Client workstation.

Desktop uses ODBC (SQL Server Native Client) for linked tables to SQL Server.
Develop on desk top and deploy to a Citrix Server.

Working on a single model form for 6 hours and could not help but notice it was getting slower and slower. At lunch time, used a SQL Execute method to update a single record. Did three updates with the user interface, checked the table and only 2 of 3 were there. Looked at code, then rechecked, all three were there now.

After noon, opened up the splash screen then the primary screen that links about 100 tables. Usually takes a second. Took over 2 minutes. Same to close.
This is from the desktop to SQL Server. The Citrix version is blazing fast to the exact same SQL Server.

Rebooted computer, no difference. Just dreadfully slow! Checked server ping, Resource Monitor on both client and server, nothing seemed out of whack.

Earlier in the day, had attempted to set ODBC link to an Oracle Database. Thought that maybe the four attempts could be cleaned up.
Then, saw that I had turned on ODBC Tracing. See image
The moment that was turned off, the form that had been closing for over a minute snapped shut!

Everything is back to normal!
Normally, people shouldn't be clicking this. But, if they do this might be good to know.
