We have a split Access 2010 Database. We have outdated letters in our current database. I would like to import updated letters that are Word documents. These letters have headers and footers. Is there an easy way to do this or do I just update the current letters that are already in our database and insert headers and footers.

Hi. Welcome to the forum. How exactly are the letters/files stored in the database? Are you using a primary key to identify them? If so, you may be able to simply add the updated versions and then make sure to use their new IDs in your database.

the letters are saved as reports linked to several tables. Thank you for your input. Very helpful.

Hmm, not sure I get it. Are you saying the Word docs are not actually saved in the database but merely emulated in reports? Meaning, somebody created some reports that look like their Word doc counterparts?
