Hi, I'm Debbie from Humboldt County, CA. I was a database manager years ago, but was not part of the original build of that or any database. That was back in 1999, so pre-2007 version... I loved Access and was able to manipulate the data and create forms for my team, report to the Puerto Rican government, keep it up-to-the-minute updated.
Now I want to create a database for my current job. It's for Facility Use reservations on a campus. I began today, and am AMAZED at the innovations made in Access! Access 2010 is certainly user friendly, but I am such a novice! It will be interesting to see if I can do this with no formal training whatsoever, but just a firm belief that it will make my job easier, make my "clients" happy, etc.
